Successful Agents Mail Postcards Like Crazy

We get calls every day from agents all over the country, and one thing that I have found that is consistent is that the agents making the big money mail postcards like crazy.

With the tight restrictions on telemarketing, postcards are a very effective way to get your name out. The agents that mail the most usually are the first to be called when a new prospect thinks of selling or buying a home. People want to do business with people that are successful, and seeing a regular postcard gives them the impression you are successful.

Now the hardest part is taking the leap when you are just getting started, and budgeting a significant amount of money toward postcard marketing. But big marketing does pay off. One agent in St. Louis mails 500 to 1500 Just Listed postcards for every home she lists, and the same amount of Just Sold Postcards for every home she sells. In addition, she mails 30,000 farming postcards every month.

If your budget is tight, pick a small area, and mail like crazy to that area. Then as commissions grow, expand the farming area.

The bottom line is mailing works.
